In 1989, Chris Bennett, an architect, took some leftover pieces of leather from the basement of his home in New Zealand and fashioned together a pair of soft leather shoes for his baby daughter. The shoes incorporated a clever design that ensured that they were easy to put on and stayed on!
The shoes were an instant hit with friends and relatives who loved them for their innovative styling and practical design. It was the perfect shoe which kept their babies' feet warm in winter and cool in summer! |

Unlike many stiff rubber soled shoes, the soft leather used allows for comfortable crawling and cruising. It is really the next best thing to bare feet! (see Foot Health for Babies)
Realising the need for such a shoe in the market, Chris and his wife Colleen incorporated Bobux International Limited in 1991 to design, manufacture and market this new concept in baby shoes to the world.
Despite many imitators who have tried to copy the original concept, Bobux remains a favourite the world over! Loved and trusted by both parents and babies in over 20 countries for its great fit, unbending quality and safety standards and progressive styling! (see 10 Reasons Why!) |
